Our 1987 life insurance agency began making deals in 1998. One of our first customers was the dear friend of the President and Founder of many years, a retired marine colonel from the Korean conflict who started a business after having withdrawn from his position as corporate vice president. His life transaction of our convertible forward policy saved his home from foreclosure and allowed him to rebuild his savings. Bringing money to the living was much more rewarding than handing over death requests. With the encouragement of him, his wife and other happy customers, Morris Heins founded American Life Settlements before launching his first website in 2000.
