The dark year continues for life insurance. For the seventh consecutive month, payments from insurers to savers again exceeded the sums placed by individuals in September, according to figures released Thursday by the French Insurance Federation (FFA). Net inflows are negative at 800 million euros, whereas they were positive at 2.8 billion in the same month last year.

Since the beginning of the year, the net outflow recorded by this medium, which is usually very popular with individuals, has reached 7.3 billion euros. Over the same period in 2019, life insurance accounts were up 20.8 billion.
